about me

Originally from State College, Pennsylvania, I grew up loving art of all forms and took every creative class I could in school. After 20 years of painting and with inspiration from my residency in Los Angeles, I've found my sweet spot in exploring the balance between abstraction and realism. My favorite mediums are acrylic paint and oil pastels. From mountain ranges and forests to seascapes and floral arrangements, nature is the unifying theme in my work. I find peace, joy, and endless possibility in the great outdoors and hope to bring a sense of serenity, bliss, and wonder to others through my art.

my love story with art

Painting is a form of meditation for me. It’s this unique and limitless realm where I experience an escape from reality while simultaneously exploring it on a more intimate level. It’s mixing the impossible with the possible and splashing colors on a canvas in any way I can imagine, not just in a way that I’ve seen before. There’s such a sense of freedom to it. It can’t be done right or wrong, it just is as I decide it should be. And I think that level of discovery and creative freedom connects me with my inner child where anything seems possible. That’s really what I love about sharing my work with others - because I hope they’ll too find a connection to their inner child and be reminded that anything they can dream up can be a reality.
